Villages Walk

Hike while you can

Tharu people live in the Tarai, a narrow strip of land, which extends across 550 miles of the southern border of Nepal, next to northeast India. The land is forested and fertile. Take village walk to witness daily lifestyle and activities of the Tharu community. For centuries, the Tharu have lived very closed to this protected area and hence their tradition reflects their intimate relationship with the natural world. Visit the Tharu village and share their world with them as you reach out to touch another culture.
